Welcome Sarah Martina

We love having Guests in the house, and this month the lovely and talented Sarah Martina has shared some of her holiday creations! If you haven't been to her blog, oh my gorgeous heaven, you will want to..... designs by Sarah Martina

Meet Sarah:

Hey there! My name is Sarah, and I’m so excited to be a guest today on the Emma's Paperie blog! I guess you could say that paper-crafting is my first passion, but only if you don’t count my incredible family first. I joined the online craft community in December 2008, diving in “head first,” and I haven’t been able to stop since! Making cards is my favorite way to design, but I also enjoy creating scrapbook pages, altered items, gifts and more. I am married to my hero and best friend, Sie. Together we have a beautiful daughter, Sydney, and a fun-loving son, Sie, II. When I’m not lounging with them, I love getting my hands dirty in my hideaway craft room. I'm such a big fan of all that Emma's Paperie has to offer, and I'm also a big fan of the work of the design team as well. What an honor it is to be able to share with you today.

Faith Hope & Love Notebook by Jessica Witty

Supplies:

Scor Tape - I used 1/4 inch

Instructions:

1. Adhere label sticker to book. Trim off 2 sections of border sticker and slip them underneath the edges of the label sticker.
2. Adhere circle sticker, hope tag, mailing label, and love strip to book.
3. Open the front cover of the book and gently pull the pocket open. Add machine stitching accents to the front cover. (This way the inside pocket isn't stitched closed.)

5. Use ScorTape on bottom and side edge of pocket to close it.
6. Punch a hole in the back cover of the book.
7. Punch circle of General Store paper. Punch a hole in it, slip an eyelet in, and wrap a piece of twine around the eyelet.
8. Secure eyelet through back cover and wrap twine around the button on the front cover to close the book.

Season's Greetings Mini Gift Box by Lisa Dorsey

Supplies:

Mini Pillow Boxes
Times Nouveau Lollapalooza Paper by Graphic 45
Prudence Discretion Pattern Paper by Crate Paper
Christmas Past We Wish You a Merry Christmas Pattern Paper by Graphic 45
Paperie Greenhouse Fabric Brocade Paper by Making Memories
Christmas Past Ode to Joy Pattern Paper by Graphic 45
Le' Romantique Key to My Heart Pattern Paper by Graphic 45
Tis the Season Yuletide Pattern Paper by Bo Bunny Press
Lost & Found Beautiful Day Trims by My Mind's Eye
Lush Red Decorative Brads by My Mind's Eye

Instructions:

1. Cut thin strips of coordinating scraps and ink all the edges.2. Paint the ends of the pillow box using off white acrylic paint.
Allow to dry and ink ends.3. Decoupage strips of pattern paper to the pillow box starting in the
center and working your way out.
4. When you get to the last strip on either end, allow strip to
slightly overlap fold. Fold end in and ink pattern paper when the box folds.
This serves as a great guide as to where to trim the pattern paper. After
paper is trimmed, ink again.
5. To create bow, cut 4 strips of pattern paper that measure ½ inch
wide and 3 ½ inches long. Cut a point on each end and punch a small hole.
Repeat with second set of strips measuring ½ inch wide and 3 inches long.
Third set should measure ½ x 2½. Ink all edges.6. Starting with the smallest pieces, fold paper to create bow using
brad to hold them in place. Attach the bow to the top of the box.
